What is the one thing that the Nintendo 3DS was unfortunately lacking when it came to gameplay we are used to by today’s standards? Yep, that’s right, a second analogue stick! For months, gamers have felt that the handheld device needed one and thankfully, Nintendo are giving us one.
The second analogue stick, also known as the Circle Pad Pro, will be a slide on expansion accessory that will not only give gamers a second circle pad, but shoulder buttons too! Finally, we will be able to relish in first person shooter games and RPG’s the way our console owning friends would.
The Circle Pad Pro will hit UK shelves on the 27th January. Of course, those of you who have been keeping up to date with upcoming video game releases will know that the 27th January also marks the release of the long awaited Resident Evil: Revelations! Since the upcoming Resident Evil will be the first game in Europe to be compatible with the Circle Pad Pro, it is only right that it comes available in an optional bundle pack.
On a side note, those of you apprehensive about using a second circle pad needn’t worry as Resident Evil: Revelations will be playable with or without it. Those that can’t wait to get your hands on it should note that it will require one AAA battery that will last as long as your typical TV remote.
Those lucky Jammy Dodgers in Japan won’t have to wait long though since the Circle Pad Pro will come bundled with Monster Hunter Tri G’s release next month. Ah well, we only have to wait a month longer.
