So you’ve played the games, but have you read the book?! The Assassin’s Creed story has been furthered by the genius Oliver Bowden, the very man who released upon the world ‘Assassin’s Creed: Renaissance’. Sure, the games are as awesome as a game could possibly be – there is no doubt about that! But when it comes to reading an Assassin’s Creed novel, it’s a completely different story – excuse the pun. Instead of jumping from rooftop to rooftop and nailing those investigative quests which, let’s be honest aren’t always fun, you get to become absorbed into Ezio’s world and skip the unwanted parts. You end up feeling the emotions Ezio feels instead of waiting to receive your next assassination target.
Before picking up an Assassin’s Creed novel, the worries and concerns that it will somehow ruin the fantastic story we have known to come and love are ever present. However, once you quickly immerse yourself in the story, I assure you that all that concern washes away and you’re left with a well written book that’s based on one of the best video games of all time.
Of course the book isn’t just intended for the hardcore gamers out there! Assassin’s Creed can be enjoyed by anyone who just feels like reading a good book. Ezio is just the type of character that you can easily attach yourself with and understand why he does the things he does.
Much like Oliver’s other Assassin’s Creed novels, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be based on the upcoming game. The story will focus on Ezio in search of some answers. He’ll walk the same footsteps as the legendary Altair and of course take down those pesky Templars in the region of Constantinople.
The Assassin’s Creed: Revelations book will be released on the 24th November 2011 which is not too long after the video game is released. It’s available to pre-order now from Amazon and Play.com
