HTC Quattro UK Release Date

26. November 2011

In the run up to Christmas, it is quite safe to say people are going absolutely tablet crazy! However, with talk of HTC’s Quattro being released early next year, you might want to reconsider splashing out on a new iPad this holiday season.

This supreme Tegra 3 quad-core tablet is said to sport a gorgeous 1280×768 resolution and a 10.1 inch screen. It’s also been said that the Quattro may even be released in two separate versions – Wi-fi only and Wi-Fi+3G. We can’t be sure whether or not this true, only time will tell. One thing we do know though, is that the HTC Quattro will come with 1GB of RAM and a nifty 16GB worth of space for all of your downloads. Videos will be HD recordable and the tablet will come equipped with a rear 2 Megapixel camera and an SD slot to accompany it.

In a day and age where we like a little oomph with our music, the Quattro is set not to disappoint. It will come integrated with Beats technology to give our tunes a hint of Dre. Of course what would a HTC tablet be without a digital pen that’s familiar to what we saw with the Flyer.

In terms of price, it is yet to be announced. However, it is a given that HTC is up against some very stiff competition. Particularly from the recent super slim 8.6mm Galaxy Tablet which rivals the Quattro’s said-to-be 9mm thickness.

For a while we have heard that the HTC Quattro would be released sometime 2012. Soon after we then heard it would be “early 2012”. Various rumours have now popped up stating that March 2012 could well be release date we have all been waiting for! Keep checking back here for more details on the release date!

Sony Ericsson's Nozomi UK Release Date

7. November 2011

Details of Sony Ericsson's new technological prodigy known as the Nozomi have finally been unveiled. If Phones4u are anything to go by, then this upcoming Sony Ericcson gadget is said to rival Apple’s new iPhone 4S with a whopping 4.3 inch screen combined with an impressive resolution of 1280x720 - much like Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. If you think that sounds good, then how about the fact that the device is said to come equipped with a 12 megapixel camera! – No longer will you need to carry around an expensive digital camera in a nightclub!

The little physical buttons we’re used to on Sony Ericcson models appear to have been scrapped and replaced with full touch screen technology. The smartphone is also looking mighty trim, but whether or not it beats the impressive 7.1mm Motorola Razr, only time will tell!

The Nozomi’s blisteringly fast 1.5GHz dual-core processor will render the iPhone 4S an out-dated piece of machinery in comparison. Phones4u specifications go on to say that the Nozoomi will be run using the new Google's Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS. Of course none of this information is truly set in stone by Sony Ericsson themselves, but if a reputable retail giant such as Phones4u is pumping out such information, then there must be some truth to it!

As far as pricing goes, we will all just have to wait and see! Of course with a device sporting such beasty qualities, you can expect the price tag to be somewhere in the same region as the iPhone 4S!

An official release date isn’t confirmed, but Phones4u have pegged Sony Ericcson’s Nozoomi to sometime early 2012. Phones4u went on to say that February would be a likely release date. Make sure you keep checking back here for an official, set in stone release date.

Motorola Xoom 2 UK Release Date

1. November 2011

If retail giants Carphone Warehouse are anything to go by, then we should hopefully see Motorola’s Xoom 2 being released sometime before this Christmas. Though I can’t actually specify a set in stone release date, I can definitely tell you all that Carphone Warehouse are advertising the Motorola Xoom 2 as the perfect Christmas present, ultimately meaning its release surely must come sometime before the 25th of December this year!

Motorola’s Xoom 2 is said to sport an 8.2 inch beautiful touch screen according to Motorola’s specification chart. This obviously raises the question on what exactly is going on with the 10 inch touch screen Motorola have been bragging about all this time!? Perhaps a fatal misprint from the boys at Carphone Warehouse, or maybe there will be two different sizes being released? Only time will tell on that one, but hopefully it is the latter.

The device is also said to come in various disk sizes, ranging from a mere 16GB all the way up to a whopping 64GB whilst also coming equipped with a smashing 1.2GHz Tegra dual core processor! It has also been rumoured that you will be able to wirelessly synchronize the Xoom 2 with your PC or laptop, just by using one of many Motorola applications. A 5 megapixel HD camera, the ability to stream movies using in-house apps and up to a whopping 11 hours of battery life also adds to the list of reasons why this beast of a gadget might just take the lead when it comes to Android 4.0 tablets.

I don’t know about you, but if Carphone Warehouse hasn’t deceived us, then I sure would like to receive such an awesome gadget for Christmas. Perhaps you could subtly leave this page open for your loved ones to see and take the hint?

Samsung Galaxy Note UK Release Date

4. October 2011

After waiting months in anticipation for a UK release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note, it has finally been revealed that it shall be here from the 17th November 2011! The original projected release date was early 2012 but circumstances changed and we’re now getting it just in time for the holiday season – I know what’s going on my Christmas list!

So why is this baby Christmas list worthy? Oh I don’t know, maybe it’s the stylus pen, the 8 mega-pixel camera or even the fact that it is the world’s first 5.3 inch HD Amoled screen? It could even have something to do with the 1.4GHZ dual core processor or the sexy chic design. I just can’t make my mind up! Just imagine being able to jot down something with the stylus pen, or doodle a picture to send to your friend! Or even being able to use a built in magnifying glass to read small print! There is so much that the Samsung Galaxy Note has to offer, that you simply won’t need your iPhone. Of course what I’m relieved about is the high powered 2500mAh battery which promises to never let us down and provide us with a huge amount of life.

Crossed between a smartphone and a tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note is somewhat of a technological hybrid with a cheeky release date which is two days after the U.S release of Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Perhaps an attempt to seize British customers before the Kindle Fire is released here? Who knows? Both devices look to be taking the world by storm, leaving the likes of Apple back at the drawing board.

It truly is amazing how far touch screen technology has come since it originated. We’ll soon be living in a day and age where the technology seen in movies such as Minority Report will become a reality. How exciting!

Xbox 360 New Dashboard 2011 UK Release Date

2. October 2011

Recent Paypal leaks have given us a promising release date for the new Xbox 360 Dashboard! If the information is correct then we could be downloading our brand spanking new dashboards from November 15th 2011! This precious information was spilled by a Paypal e-mail to all of its employees giving away this release date.

Avid fans of the Xbox will no doubt recognize the date as the tenth anniversary of the original Xbox! It’s also the exact same day that Halo: Combat Evolved will get released. So it would seem likely that this potential release date is in fact more than just speculation!

So what can we expect from the new Xbox 360 Dashboard? Well it’ll be a totally new look to what we’re used to. Everything will be arranged to make things simpler for both die hard and casual gamers out there. Expect everything to be arranged in titles and snazzy looking panels, along with voice control for those blessed with a Kinect. Bing, new arcade games, Xbox Live TV, Skype and cloud storage is just taste of what’s to come!

Of course not everyone will be receptive to the new layouts, but with things made simpler and a few extra features, it’s sure to be a hit with most! It’s basically transformed the original dashboard which was primarily all about gaming, to what appears to look like they have consolidated all entertainment into one! In fact ‘Games’ is just one of the many category titles found at the top. It’s also joined by ‘social’, ’video’, ’music’ and ‘apps’.

By far the greatest addition to the new Xbox 360 dashboard is going to be the voice control. You can literally say the name of a movie and boom it’ll appear right before you as if by magic! We’re certainly stepping into the future and benefiting from the wondrous technology that’s available. I for one can’t wait for the new Dashboard and I’m sure you can’t either!
