I am not sure what 2entertain are thinking of , but they have opted for a raft of poor stories to release this year. This is one of the worst. It is a story of two parts. First we have the badly realised Vardans, who change from tin foil ethereal beings to WW1 Tommies with crash helmets and are probably the least convincing baddies for a long time. Then after they have somehow managed to defeat the Timelords, we have the Sontarans, who were only worth watching in The Time Warrior. We have the notorious chase through the Tardis (dreadful) and the fact that Leela is allowed to go to Gallifrey when Sarah Jane was not (perhaps because The Doctor is President?). It's an awful story, badly written, badly produced and badly directed. As far as I am concerned it is a DVD to avoid, no matter how good the extras are. I can't wait for The Trial of a Timelord...
